Is 22.3L good salary for 11 years of experience?
I am a backend developer with 11 years of experience working in a product based company. Currently I am getting paid 22.3L CTC and expecting a hike of 2.5-3L (maybe a promotion too) on my current CTC. I wanted to know if this salary is market standard or I am paid more or less than expected?

...ower. Hike, promotion and bonus cycle are treated as same and comes once a year. When I joined Oracle had a share price of 60 dollars and now it's around 220 dollars yet no change in my salary for 4 years. Factor in inflation of 5 percent and I am getting demoted every year. Lateral hires get lesser salaries and benefits than freshers due to the bad HR policies of Oracle. When I joined with 8 years experience no stocks were offered and base salary of 21lpa but freshers get 14lpa and 5lakhs of stocks. So what is the use of the experience. Too much favoritism due to which no matter what you do, only people who can please the boss will get the incentives. Salary corrections are rare and there is no incentive to perform better. Just do the bare minimum and don't expect growth. This is what happens when you have abundant cheap labour and no judgement of skill which would lead to bad products later.

..., but the company does not reciprocate with fair financial growth or motivation. I strongly believe Oracle has the potential to retain talent by valuing employees’ efforts through better pay structures. Until this is addressed, it becomes challenging to feel appreciated and stay motivatated. Really disappointed with oracle on this.

It provides more flexibility in terms of working location ie office or home and even in some cases it is fully remote. Lots of talented technical individuals specially IC's. there are multiple training opportunities to learn wider range of technologies and applications

No Salary Hike even after COVID Higher Management is very lethargic and is just interested in grabbing names for themselves at the cost of talented IC's No Job Stability as we frequently hear of RFI Promotion opportunities are very limited

1. No salary hike in 5 years, i.e. since the time I joined. Just the excuse "we dont have budget" 2. Taking a leave or even 2 hours off the manager makes you feel as though you're stealing from his house. 3. No Training, they say they dont have budget for it. If somehow one enrolls they are frowned upon by managers "is the training relevant to our work" . Not to mention the daily and weekly updates you need to share after the trainings. 4. Managers and directors feel they are working on rocket science. Working with them feels like working with daily wagers.

Work Life Balance is the only good thing.

...Only boot lickers with no attitude towards work are promoted. Too much politics. 2 - 6% salary hike, worst among all the organizations. 3 - Management is just for name and politics, even VP doesn't know how the increment is done and how much fund will be given to the specific team. These decisions are made at SVP level which is too bad. They don't have a vision of how people will be promoted, they only aim for their profit and their own salary share. 4 - Managers highlight a simple work of a boot lockers as if he conquered the Himalayas. Opportunities are also given to those people only.
