Overburdened staff at low and mid management. Very heavy top management, very less or no salary hike, Promotion on the basis of race not merit. Very bad office location in bangalore, No parking available and it take hours to commute. HR doesn’t exists, no command in the organisation all hold is with MDs. Standard Chartered is providing Rs 15 Lakhs medical converge to the staff and wife along with 2 children. This is really appreciable. Compulsory weekly off and all RBI calendar holiday are given to the staff. We are entitled to 24 Personal leaves.Read More

Poor salary is given to all back end support staffs who are having experience more than 18 years but they are getting only 22000 hand which is really shocking and unreliable when an outsider comes to know about the reality in this Bank. I am also getting a worst salary if compared to any other banks and salary is so horrible that I am not able to run my family and meet basic daily needs of the family.So it is recommended do not join Scb else you will also face the same fate here which will lead to frustration and menta im balance when you need the money for your family. The most interesting part of the company is that many clerical cadre staffs and sub staffs including Drivers,peons are working with Standard Chartered Bank in direct payroll of the Bank.They are enjoying and getting all type of facilities that will demoralise other private sector banks as well as officers working in SCB. A clerical staff is getting Rs 2160000 yearly package, monthly pension of Rs 30000 post retirement so an officer like me is not getting more facilities than a clerk where it has been observed that officers are technically more sound and had taken more responsibility as other officers are not even getting more than the clerical staffs ,sub staffs salary which is shameful incident triggered by the SCB management.A sub staff is getting 11 Lacs yearly package and RS 20000 pension is paid monthly post retirement. After all these on going incident many SCB staffs are praising about SCB work culture but they don't have that much of brain intelligence to differentiate the salary of officer and sub staffs , clerical staffs who are not competent enough to get such high package. ... They make it transparent by including the least variable pay in your offer letter as mark and you get generally 25% extra than your least mark. One has multiple options to move internally and the process is not much politically influenced. SCB offers you stability but align with market updates. You ll not get feel of working in outdated systems/applications.Read More

Team outing is very less and most of time not sponsored by company. Cultural events like celebration not there anymore. No Diwali gifts kind of stuffs. No employee appreciation apart from the yearly performance bonus & hike.Read More

As I shared my personal experience about my financial & career growth, absolutley there is zero(even I worked with good performance, here it's Departments wise politics are available in salary CTC ) because when I joined 2016 April - getting salary 12,000 per p.m and, at present 2023 April - getting salary 23,200 p.m. it totally I lost my life in standard chartered GBS, (No promotion, very less salary hike, technology wise are not update as of today).
