We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead our HR function and contribute to enhancing sales and business performance through people-centric strategies.
Job Summary
The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the human resources strategy to support the company's growth objectives. Based in Chennai, the CHRO will design and implement HR initiatives that align with the unique needs of our workforce, which serves small-town and rural markets. The role will focus on building a high-performance culture, fostering employee engagement, and driving talent strategies that enhance sales effectiveness and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the company's goals of expanding financial services in small-town and rural markets.
Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent, with a focus on building a sales-driven workforce capable of connecting with rural customers.
Employee Engagement and Culture: Foster a culture of inclusivity, motivation, and performance excellence to enhance employee productivity and customer-centric service delivery.
Sales Enablement through HR: Design training and development programs to enhance the skills of sales teams, enabling them to effectively engage with rural and small-town customers.
Performance Management: Implement performance management systems that align employee goals with business outcomes, emphasizing sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Leadership Development: Create leadership pipelines and succession plans to ensure sustainable growth and continuity in serving underserved markets.
Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives to reflect the diverse communities we serve, enhancing customer trust and business reach.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure HR policies comply with Indian labor laws and regulations, maintaining ethical standards across all operations.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage HR analytics to measure workforce performance and its impact on sales and business metrics, driving continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align HR initiatives with business strategies, ensuring seamless execution in rural markets.
Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the financial services or consumer-focused industry.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in financial services, with an understanding of rural and small-town markets in India, is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Proven ability to design HR strategies that drive sales and business performance.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
- Expertise in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance management.
- Familiarity with HR analytics and technology to support data-driven decisions.

Location Requirement: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Chennai, India.
