Senior Service Now Developer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ServiceNow Backend Developer to join our fast-growing ServiceNow Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend functionalities for custom ServiceNow Service Portal solutions. Youll work closely with front-end developers, architects, and stakeholders to implement scalable and efficient backend logic using best practices within the ServiceNow platform.

Role & responsibilities :

• Design and implement backend components of the ServiceNow Service Portal using JavaScript, Glide API, and other server-side technologies.
• Create and manage server-side scripts including Script Includes, Business Rules, Workflow scripts, and UI Actions.
• Develop custom APIs and integrations to support data retrieval and manipulation within the ServiceNow Ecosystem.
• Optimize portal performance and ensure adherence to platform governance, best practices, and security guidelines.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and front-end developers to deliver seamless portal experiences.
• Participate in agile development practices including Sprint Planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend logic, performance, and data integrity.
• Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.

Preferred candidate profile :

• 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development with a strong focus on backend functionality.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Glide API (Glide Record, Glide System, etc.)
• Solid understanding of ServiceNow architecture and data model.
• Experience working with REST APIs, integrations, and MID Servers.
• Familiarity with Agile Methodologies and tools (JIRA, ServiceNow Agile, etc.).
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Experience with Scoped Applications or Flow Designer.
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (AngularJS, Bootstrap) used in the Service Portal is a plus.
• Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
