General Manager (Engineering) Polyester Film

Overseeing all engineering aspects, including maintenance, capital projects, and technology upgrades, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. This role involves leading and developing engineering teams, developing and implementing engineering plans and strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

- Oversee and manage all aspects of plant maintenance, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.

- Manage and oversee capital projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution, to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

- Identify and implement new technologies and processes to enhance operational capabilities and improve product quality.

- Manage and develop a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental regulations.

- Identify and implement strategies to improve maintenance processes, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation.

- Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including management, operations, and other departments.

- Regularly monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are implemented.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Qualification And Experience:

1. BE Instrumentation or Electronics with Extensive experience of 16-20 years in polyester film manufacturing, with a strong background in engineering, maintenance, and project management.

2. Proficient in various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation.

3. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.

5. Familiar with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in the polyester film industry. Oversee and improve energy efficiency within the plant.

6. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.

7. Collaborate with quality control to ensure product quality and consistency.

8. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.
