I am writing this for a specific process I have worked in which is SMAC. It's a social media (chat process). Please if you are being hired for this, turn around and RUNNNNNN. This job is filled with cognitive load. You have to memorize it all and even after years of work you will not remember everything because they will keep addingnewer load. You will be working on 6 live chats and 5-6 follow chats. Do not expect the chat volume to decrease as it will keep adding one after another. So what you will be doing at work: 1. Working on 6 live chats and 5 followup chats. The time to reply will be 5 mins only. 2. While handling chats you will be working on creating dispatches, remote sessions, unit replacement, refund, point of need, fusion, chat with tech expert and asset team. You will be moving around 7 to 8 tools for information. I repeat all this while you are handling 6 live chats. 3. The breaks you will be getting in 9.5 hours shift is 15-30-15 minutes. Exceeding breaks will be another issue for you. 4. Do not expect a plunge in work load as existing employees are leaving the work and there are hardly 20-30 people left that too will be resigning shortly. 5. You will be asked to login 15 mins prior your shift and if you are traveling self to the office please never expect to return on time as you will be sitting for next 2-3 hours just to complete the work. 5. On the chat tool you will be chatting, writing notes, applying correct macro and the worst CPCL. The chats you will be handling will be from these platforms Apple, Google, Khorus, Support Assist and WhatsApp. 6. CPCL (Check Previous Case Logs) - This seems to easy. However, this will include reading the entire conversation, ready entire notes, checking the case and asset details in Salesforce. I repeat again all this while you will be taking 6 live chats (you may also be on remote session, tech expert chat or asset team chat and might also be working on dispatches of previous chats). 7. For support you will be having L2 on the floor but they are even working on multiple things. Do not expect any help regarding the work from TL or manager as they never ever have worked in the same process, so they really fo not know much. 8. Behaviour of the management is such that you will never feel to be an employee, managers walk around the floor as if they are the proprietor of the company. 9. You can count the tenured employees on fingers. 10. While working on this you will be even expected to check the email of TL and quality. 11. The cognitive load and complexity is such that you have to complete multiple things to achieve one simple task. 12. Quality team will be marking you on various aspects, please do not answer them regarding 6 live chats as they know it and there are hardly anyone who themselves have worked on the chat. So they will not understand anything. 13. You might be having a Fun Friday during training. However, going into production there will be no recreational activities for people working at SMAC. 14. If you ever think that you can have a small breather to have a word with your colleagues you are soooooo WRONG. The nature of work is such that you will not even get the time to turn your head around. 16. On the other hand there are different policies regarding work for different regions so this only add up to your cognitive load. For example - You updated the contacts, followed the procedure and booked a dispatch using a dedicated tool, at the end you will come to know that it was all wrong as this particular dispatch cannot be booked using this tool and you will be starting over again. 17....Read More

Working at Concentrix has been a challenging experience, and I feel compelled to share my observations to help others make an informed decision. 1. Work-Life Balance: The work-life balance at Concentrix is virtually nonexistent. The 9.5-hour workdays, unique to the company in India, are not only exhausting but also violate standardlabor policies. Employees are allowed only two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute break, for which they must seek permission to take. Moreover, staying back after shifts for meetings has become the norm, further eroding personal time and creating undue stress. 2. Salary & Benefits: The fixed salary is noticeably below industry standards, and the issue of nonpayment for overtime work is concerning. Employees are often forced to work beyond their shifts without adequate compensation. Policies like "Blackout Days," introduced during festivals to restrict leave, exacerbate dissatisfaction. Even taking sick or emergency leave is an ordeal, with managers expecting prior notice for unforeseen circumstances—an unreasonable expectation in any work environment. 3. Promotions/Appraisal: Annual appraisals are more of a myth at Concentrix. Despite being a top performer, I received only a 2% salary increase over two years. The company frequently modifies its policies to limit employee eligibility for appraisals, creating frustration and dissatisfaction among the workforce. 4. Skill Development/Learning: There are no avenues for skill development or professional growth. The demanding work environment leaves no time or opportunity for employees to enhance their skills or broaden their knowledge base. 5. Work Satisfaction: Work satisfaction is minimal, especially for those in operations. Employees are treated more like machines than humans, with frequent and impractical changes to KPIs driven by client demands. This creates a high-pressure environment and leaves employees feeling unvalued and unsupported. 6. Company Culture: The company culture is riddled with bias, especially when it comes to growth and promotions. Favoritism is prevalent, and deserving employees often find themselves overlooked for career advancement. Conclusion: Overall, Concentrix has significant room for improvement in multiple areas, particularly in addressing labor law compliance, employee well-being, and fairness in workplace policies. While the company may have its strengths, my experience has been overwhelmingly negative, and I cannot recommend it to those seeking a balanced and fulfilling work environment....Read More
