No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

Info Edge is parent company to Naukri, where the work life balance is good. Employees are treated well. Of course this would be a good place to start your career but should not stay more than 2- 3 years. Growth and learning will go down after this point.

I am writing the about Naukri whose parent company is Info Edge. The salary and growth part is very low. Career wise we cannot stick to the role or company for a long term. Maximum 3 years. Post which the company will stop giving you a good appraisals. All the learnings can be done in 2 years post which it not a advise able to stay in the company.

Lots of power and politics. Manager only supports good performer. Pass inappropriate lines to those who can't perform well. Sometimes they questions on your dignity, intention of your work. Never should go there if you dont want to low your self esteem.
