Work life balance was good previously, but some managers do not give you work life balance they want you to work 24 hrs and 7 days a week without taking any leave.

They not give bonus or any appreciation on diwali or on new year to keep employees motivated for rest of the year.

Oyo is best company if you join as a fresher and the company culture is best , you get the chance to work on different things at a time and your overall growth is also good in different direction

It was great time working for oyo,I was enjoying my job with full enthu since 2015, but during covid 19 , company has taken step back in respect of supporting , knowingly that nobody will get job opportunity in current situation.

...performance retened due to favouritism.i Never expected this from the company. It could be better solution if company cut off equal percentage from each and every employees salary, nobody would affect badly with this. I am writing this because I am a emotional person and worked without any complaints . hoping for the best.

...lockdown. Also, it was the first company in india to announce furlough/ layoffs. Also used remaining paid leaves of all employees to avoid paying leave encashment pay.

If you're thinking of working at OYO, think twice. Every Saturday, we were expected to spend ₹4K–₹5K out of our own pocket just on bookings/creations — that's at least ₹20K/month, If your salary is ₹50K with 80% fixed and 20% variable, you're left with ₹40K. Now subtract ₹20K spent monthly on bookings and another ₹5K for team outings — you’re technically earning just ₹15K. Don’t fool yourself working 7 days a week for ₹15K. It’s exploitation, not employment. We worked 7 days a week, and Saturdays were the worst — the manager would keep the team till 11 PM, no matter what. There's no personal space, no time for learning, no career growth, and honestly, no respect for your mental health or time. Despite the endless work hours, the financial compensation was nowhere near fair. Add to that constant pressure, unrealistic expectations, and a manipulative work environment — it's a recipe for burnout. This place doesn’t care about people. Just numbers. Worst experience ever.
