The thing I like about tcs is its working cultures and policies. It gives kind of a work security to its employees.

Dislikes

The only thing that I dislike about Tata consultancy services is because of its salary increament and appraisal structure. Because does not give you much hike and you start to think that you are getting left behind by others if you will continue working with tcs.

Work life balance is good.

Dislikes

There is no hike in my salary. Even I'm the critical resource in that project. Notice period is 3 months they are strictly following that.if you try to switch means it's too hard.

Only coz of my office location I got better project to work. Apart from that nothing really good about it of you start of your career from TCS. Not recommended for freshers. Experienced people have different review on this matter.

Promotion is not worth it and salary hike is total disaster. HR attitude are on different galaxy and I had to face issues during my separation from organisation. Earlier it was decided an early release but later it was extended by my manager. No communication from HR side regarding that and no actual clarification was provided by them. Due to financial problem I cannot book flight to office location ( round way minimum 19k and no train available ) and to this they didn't even accept my request to submit asset to nearest. To those who read this kindly remember to mail each and every word to HR during this period of separation as according to them verbally affirming them thousands of time is not acceptable.

Probable onsite opportunity.

Low salary. Extremely delayed promotions. Extremely low variable payout. Unethical seniors- often false promises of promotion and onsite are offered to allure employees in joining project. Long working hours expectation. Supervisors call you at unearthly hours. Goals and Attributes are set at the last moment during appraisal time and often set as per the decision made on your band. If a low band is decided for you, then un realistic goals are set for you. Highly demotivating work environment.

TCS is one of such companies which has a market value of a company people go during retirement period. It's absolutely best place for people who have quest to learn and thrive but that comes of at great sacrifices. Overall company is bound by cultures and values.

Dislikes

Promotions, Ratings, Salary, Growth everything comes at a price other than your hard work. It's how much you can labour. No matter what project or your talent. The company fails to retain good talent because of its nature of providing job security and gaining tons with just that added advantage. It's a company for retirement not when you are starting your career. It shows you within a year what you will go through and soon you will leave the firm.
