It was acquired by Broadcom. VMware is no more. All the good things are gone. Its a horrible company.

VMware is training their managers how to help their employees in pandamic. The ergonomic team is conduction trainings and reaching every employee to assess their how office. VMware announced a stipend for every employee to arrange their home office needs Helped people with monitor and ups setup , this was on top of the given stipend.

The package and benefits are really awesome. Work culture purely depends on the business unit and your managers. In the same business unit, you will find harassing managers and superb managers as well and your work-life balance and job satisfaction depend on them. As I mentioned, in some business units the environment is terrible..with a combination of bad leaders in the organization. It doesn't end there, the company has a minimum of 1 layoff per year (last year it was 2+) The names picked for the layoffs doesn't have any logic and a lot depends on what your leaders think at a point in time. So when the company pours you with benefits and a good package, this is the other side of it, job-security is a big concern and there is a lot of internal politics as in any other company....Read More
