Trapped in a Marriage I Don’t Want..Help
I’m 32M, working at HCLTech 60K in hand, with personal and home loans. My parents are forcing me into marriage due to societal pressure.
The girl isn’t working, unsure if she will, and her family demands a lavish wedding we can’t afford....we’re even taking loans for it. I begged to postpone, but no one listens.
I asked her to cancel she refuses. She ignores my calls but sweet talks my family, even lying that we’re getting along. We’re complete opposites in lifestyle, values, and personality.
I’ve tried everything even acting like a red flag but she won’t back out. Am I stuck? What should I do?

HCL's interview game strong, but the silence is deafening!
I interviewed at HCL Technologies for a Quality Analyst role. The interview process was smooth, with relevant questions from a polite panel across multiple rounds.
But it's been over 20 days since my final round, and I've heard nothing about whether I got the job or not.
This lack of feedback is disappointing and leaves candidates hanging.
Hoping HCL steps up their communication game, especially after the final rounds.

Hi, has anybody attended interview at Capgemini for automation testing profile at Bangalore, Belandur office on Saturday(9th May 2025). Did you get any update from the HR. I was told that HR will be contacting on Monday, but have not got any update yet. Just wanted to check if anyone has any update on the same. (Part 2 of Trapped in a Marriage I Don’t Want… Help)
Remember me? The guy from HCLTech being forced into marriage.
Well, I finally met the girl.
She had ignored my calls for days then suddenly asked to meet. I hoped we could talk and maybe agree to cancel the wedding.
But what happened shocked me.
She showed up acting like nothing mattered. I told her honestly.... I’m not ready, I have loans, and we barely know each other.
She just smiled and said,
“Your parents like me. That’s enough. You’ll agree eventually.”
And then,
“I’ve already told my relatives. It’s too late to cancel.”
She didn’t care how I felt.
I told her I can’t marry someone like that and left.
Now my parents are angry. My mom’s crying. Cards were ready to print.
But I feel I did the right thing.
Not marrying her. And I’m okay with the drama.

HCL medical policy is the worst policy. Also their internal policies are not employee friendly.
Believe me, this is one of the worst medical insurance policy given by HCL to its innocent employees. The TPA is vidal. One of the deadliest TPA. Almost all the important rules they will hide, it will be reflected at the time of claim processing. Almost every employee in HCL is struggling to settle their claims. If the amount is more than 50000 then just forget about it. Even if you mail to higher authorities of HCL, vidal will not care about it. I am just fed up 😞 to following up them. For a middle class family, 30000 is a significant amount. Also HCL policies are not good. It is changeable. This company is not employee friendly. If you have multiple offers then mark it as your last option to accept. Even if you join there then take a good external medical policy.

Hi, I felt sad at the onboarding part. The TAG team said, after discussing the work location, you did not discuss the work location. How funny it is , the TAG team is the number one fraud at HCL. The manager is not worthy, as he is not responding to the request of an employee. Bye bye fraud company.

TCS just issued a final call: employees MUST return to the office by March or face repercussions. They cite security concerns & a fading "original culture" as reasons.
Infosys & HCLTech also faced security incidents - both with remote employees. What about the mental health & productivity benefits of flexible work arrangements? ♀️
Here's the real question: can companies build strong cultures & address security risks WITHOUT forcing everyone back to the office?
Is the "toxic workplace" label just being deflected onto remote workers?

Hcl tech is bone of the worst organization to work for diversity employees. Even if you put your effort and give mote then 100 % , the entire environment Is so biased that women's are just categorized as an additional employee with no recognition. They are objectified based on their looks rather then talent....

Hey guys, just wanted to share my experience with HCL Technologies. As a Senior Software Engineer, I had the worst manager ever! They treated me like a slave and expected me to also be a slave to the client. I was mentally harassed by both HCL and their client, Airtel payments bank. When I resigned, my HCL manager withheld my attendance and I almost lost 20 days' worth of pay. Really not a great experience with HCL. #NotImpressed #BadManagement #LostWages

As a Senior Technical Manager, I have some concerns about HCLTech. The medical policy is poor, leadership skills are lacking, and managers are not authentic or honest. The HR department can sometimes be biased. I appreciate companies where HR works independently. The company has a top-down approach where you have to do as your manager says. There is no dignity in communication with subordinates. However, one positive aspect is the opportunity to upgrade your skills due to the diversity of projects.

The work-life balance is good, and there are WFH options and a hybrid work policy at HCLTech. The campus-based infrastructure is also impressive.
However, there are no proper hikes or appraisals, and there's a lot of internal politics. Talented resources are not valued, and there's not much job security or a good learning environment.😅
I'm not sure if I should stay at HCLTech. I'm looking for a job where I can be valued and compensated fairly, and where I can learn and grow.
