It would really serve a great opportunity for freshers as there would be a lot to learn and work. Though there was no training and was directly introduced to project work, it put me in pressure to know about the project. It's all possible just because of supportive colleagues and their inputs. Work pressure is high and sometimes we have to fix a bug overnight. It is not even sure when you and your work would be recognized. As there's no training, it becomes really difficult in initial days to acquire enough knowledge from other colleagues.

Work Details

The work here is challenging as i get to work on different aspects in short span of time. Though it puts me in hectic schedule, it's worth working for. Since my project has various development/testing teams, it offers complete knowledge of the process.

In my particular case, I cleared a off campus drive which was attended by 100s and in which 4 were selected finally. Now all through my life I was a good student with 80 - 90% grades. when I joined as a fresher the quality of training was very bad and then I was immediately thrown into a team. This team of which had various levels of experiences, started intimidating me from day 1 instead of being kind. There was no support from the manager at all. As a fresher you will not know whom to approach in such situations. It basically broke my confidence levels. I was labelled as useless and went through depression during my tenure in this company. In such a mental state you will be stuck in a dangerous loop which is impossible to come out. This is all because of a bad culture in the company or may be one particular team where the freshers are not treated with kindness but the team tries to dominate them and pressurise them. I drew same salary for 3 years and the variable part was also cut. I still can't come out of this trauma also had to move to multiple companies to compensate the loss in the growth. Also they have variable pay concept right from the lowest grade. Which is again based on your performance and company performance. Again things didn't work for me in a particular team. Others could be having a great experience. To add to this the transport system is so bad and expensive. You have to book the roaster week advance and if you forget to, you will not have cab the whole week. And then if you miss the drivers call in the morning they will not come to pick you up and say that they came but you were not there....Read More

Dislikes

Growth process is not quite appealing. They give more importance to your years of experience rather than your performance and learning ability. Could be an area of improvement for leadership to ponder upon.

I liked working directly under Mitra. He is a really professional man and never did micro management. It was a very very pleasant experience , at least before notice period

Dislikes

As team grew, I saw new manager getting influenced by some other male employees and passing unprofessional comments. At times I felt being abused for no reason by a male employee very unprofessionally
