Found better work life balance compared to other service based organisation. If you are lateral entry they won't hold back from giving satisfying salary.

Dislikes

Promotion process is getting complicated and slow, highly dependent on learning hours and internal certification along with your project performance. Many times it is difficult to maintain project and organizational demand at the same time. For last couple of years hikes are very less. So, for financial growth promotion is very important and unfortunately that process is slow.

Capgemini primarily grows by acquisitions. They grow inorganically. Being said this Capgemini does not have a inbuilt sound work culture. Each business unit works on it own terms. Toxic management, unsupportive HR in terms of crisis, useless employee helpline support. Most of the time managers does not know what you are working on. Increment in lower single digits even for top performers. IT infrastructure which is pathetic. Raise a case you are at the mercy of the support engineers to get your issue resolved....Read More

Depending on the client you can have good work life balance. As long as you are billed you won't be bothered at all.

Very bad appraisal and promotion cycles. You can go years with 0 % hike. Being a consultancy, you cannot say no to a project/client. Doesn't matter if thats your area of interest/expertise.

Work culture is really toxic at Gandhinagar location. It was patni computers earlier which was acquired by igate and eventually Capgemini, so all the senior employees are from patni computers and they really don't know MNC work culture. Very unprofessional patni computers employees, they ask for salary of new joiners and starts harrassing them as they all are earning low.

I like the work culture, environment, work-life balance and employee friendly policies. Specially for new mother's they do have wfh policy that they can apply. For skill development they keep training and provide voucher for certification.
