- First of all, very hard to get the job in TCS and once if you get it means the company will take care of entire family and ourself. - The Nature of work and employee treatment is outstanding in TCS - I have improved a lot after joining TCS both personally and professionally. - Me and my family members lived an excellent life afterI joined TCS. - It was a proud moment for me and my family when I was working with TCS. - PF / Gratuity /Bonus and other options are very good - Medical Insurance facility is too good. - Tata is always takes care of Public and Country. - Tata's code of conduct is very nice - Very nice to work in best TATA brand company in the world - Apprisals and Promotions are good based on skills - Managers / Leads / Team members are always cooperative - There is lot of platforms/trainings to improve our knowledge technically - Salary is always good based on skill and work they will give good salary. Work life balance was one of the aspects but which is also can't be considered.

Dislikes

No promotion, no onsite opportunity though having valid work permit. Eventually lead to no growth in any aspect. From the work perspective its culture is very old school. Perhaps, the mindset of the people at leadership should transform first to make sure that the form is also as employee friendly and reach the market standards in every aspect.

Highlevel open politics, bad management by managers with 15 + years TCS experience, worst e learning process.

Dislikes

Bad management and process. When I suffered with severe eye injury and asked for a continuous rest or release management didn't support then raised concern with HR and they collected all medical docs and cross checked with TCS doctor and he approved it but TCS management ask me work for 6 hrs a day. The doctor advise is to go for immediate rest for next 30 days else I will lose my sight but TCS management not worried about any person problem. HR tried to help me and they escalated to higher level HR but no use they replied business first for TCS. Then I dropped my papers they asked me to serve for 90 days notice with 6 hrs work else they threatened me they will extend my last working date. I was highly affected mentally and after continuous escalation to HR they accepted to leave me after 45 days notice and I paid for remaining 45 days and came out. My advise to management is HR should have full power to save employees in these situations. I felt like a slave during my time in TCS...Read More

No one like to hear just one way communication, top managment and middle management has serious disconnect. Calling resources 5 days office while they don't have ODC, seats and parking. . Most of the business team lie to client ask you to do the same. Lost of client escalations and penalities. Worst work culture. Heavy office politics. You should be a yes person to your leads and senior managment. Band distribution is decided on top irrespective of how good you have worked. Sometimes bands are adjusted to lower bands by discussing with employee by giving him/her by giving explanation like you got promotion and cant give higher band though you have worked as other team members are also in queue and they didnt get good rating last time and will complain.
